Al Blake

Full name: Alan Blake Hopwood

Was morning drive at WDAE in 1971 and 72.

Came from KMED in Medford, Oregon. Al was originally from Oregon. Was one of the most popular morning jocks ever on WDAE.

He was also very active in civic affairs. Headed up an on-air effort to raise money for kidney dialysis machines for Tampa General Hospital through the collection of Betty Crocker coupons. Listeners brought in hundreds of thousands of coupons for the effort.

Left WDAE and returned to Northwest. Believed to still be in the Seattle area.
