Bobby Rich came to Tampa Bay from Miami in the early 1980s, and was part of the magnificent success at Q105. He was the mid day man for the entire trip and developed quite a following.
Bobby joined W-101 at the same time Marc Kaye brought Bob DeCarlo back as PD in 1990, did afternoon drive until Mason came over in 1996. He helped get FM 101 it’s highest ratings ever in 1991.
He left W-101 joining forces with Mason Dixon at MIX 100.7. Bobby did the afternoon drive slot for MIX, reunited with old Q105 buddies, Mike Reeves and Nancy Alexander.
Bobby was an amateur boxer before trying his hand at radio, boxed successfully for several years in Miami.
Bobby left Mix in 2004, worked part time at Oldies 104.7 with Mason Dixson, and has sine left the Tampa Bay area. We understand he is now with Clear Channel in West Palm with Dave Denver.
Bobby and his wife Laura divorced in 2004, his children still live in Tampa.
