My interest in radio kicked-in x-mas, 1973, when my parents got me a cassette tape recorder & I starting producing & announcing my own d-j & news shows. I got started working the real thing at a small community college radio station in Longmont, Colorado, just outside Boulder-Denver, on 10-watt KCDC-FM in 1978.
The signal barely covered the parking lot, let alone the south end of town!!! Over the years, I went onto do stints in St. Louis, Boulder-Denver, Pottstown, PA. , Tampa-St. Pete, Corpus Christi, Sarasota-Bradenton, & then back to the Tampa Bay area. . . Most notably, WLFFf-life 680, WARM-107, W101, metro traffic, 570-WHNZ, 102. 5 the point, & part-time on WSJT. In 1997, I landed full-time overnights.
Then, in 1999, after adopting our first little girl, Marlissa, from China, p-d & now Infinity o-m Ross Block, moved me to mornings to be news director & co-host of the "smooth ride to work" with radio legend George Nix on smooth jazz WSJT 94. 1. Since then, my wife, Stacy & me, went back to China to get Marlissa a sister, Mattie, in '03. We have a very happy family. . . & if I win the lottery or something else God willing, we'll go back to China for number 3!!!
