Chuck
U. Farley Catchy name it was, it got Chuck Goding noticed
plenty in his stint at WFSO Radio, The Big 57 in 1974. Chuck teamed
up with Tedd Webb, Art Williams and Rick Utt of Rick and Suds
fame to deliver some heavy “Classic Rock & Roll”. Chuck was born in Alaska, moved to the Alexandria,
Virginia area. His dad worked for the government and was named
by President John F. Kennedy as the High Commissioner of the Trust
Territory of the Pacific Islands (Micronisia) from 1961-1966.
Charlie spent that time living in Guam. A graduate of Yankton College, (He & the
late NFL legend Lyle Alzado are their most famous alum), Charley
pursued a career in radio. Using the names Chuck U. Farley and
Charlie “G”. His travels carried him through a series
of stops including WTRL, WYND, WFSO, WSRZ, WFLZ and WHPT. Charlie still llives in St Petersburg, Florida,
serving as Vice President of Event Electronic Assembly. Charlie
was an incredible production man, smooth voice, smooth as silk.
His talents allowed him to voice many commercials during his career.
