Where Are They Now?

Chuck U. Farley

Catchy name it was, it got Chuck Goding noticed plenty in his stint at WFSO Radio, The Big 57 in 1974. Chuck teamed up with Tedd Webb, Art Williams and Rick Utt of Rick and Suds fame to deliver some heavy “Classic Rock & Roll”.

Chuck was born in Alaska, moved to the Alexandria, Virginia area. His dad worked for the government and was named by President John F. Kennedy as the High Commissioner of the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands (Micronisia) from 1961-1966. Charlie spent that time living in Guam.

A graduate of Yankton College, (He & the late NFL legend Lyle Alzado are their most famous alum), Charley pursued a career in radio. Using the names Chuck U. Farley and Charlie “G”. His travels carried him through a series of stops including WTRL, WYND, WFSO, WSRZ, WFLZ and WHPT.

Charlie still llives in St Petersburg, Florida, serving as Vice President of Event Electronic Assembly. Charlie was an incredible production man, smooth voice, smooth as silk. His talents allowed him to voice many commercials during his career. Truly one of the nicest people ever to grace the planet.
