Ernie Lee

"Just give me Dixie” would wake many of us up on our way to school, as the Kentucky Colonel, Ernie Lee did the morning show on WTVT Ch 13 from 1958 until 1991. He hosted “Good Day” with his friends Herb & Kay. Then there was “Breakfast Beat” with Bruce Hutchcraft, and finally “Pulse Plus”. Barefoot Brownie Reynolds would play bass with Ernie, while Jerry Bird was the guitar man.

At the end of each program, Ernie would address his wife on camera and say "Put on the coffee pot, Jeanie. I'm comin' home."

Ernie Lee passed away in the late 90's, he will always be remembered.
