1983 - 1986
WPLP began as a PT board op and worked to FT, then executive producer
for all our talk shows there. In 1984 I did my first fill in stint
on air for a week when Richard Shanks took vacation which led
to a weekend show, both Saturday and Sunday afternoons for almost
2 years.
1886 - 1987 WTMV V-32 working as executive
producer of the Richard Shanks TV talk show until he decided to
moon our audience and they decided to cancel the show.
1988 - 1992 PD WWNZ in Orlando
1992 - 1995 Executive News Producer
for KTRH in Houston
1995 - 1998 Director of News and Programming
WSYR and WHEN in Syracuse plus ran the SU football and basketball
radio network.
1998 - 2000 WGST in Atlanta as Director
of Programming and News plus ran the Atlanta Flacons radio network.
Station bought by Clear Channel in 1999 and I have been with the
company ever since.
2000 - now - First Director of AM Programming
in Houston for KTRH, KPRC and KBME. In June 2002 became Cluster
PD for 3 AM's and 5 FM's and in September became RVPP. And here
I be. I only do on-air as a fill in and for regular pop-ins and
programming boy. Also am star trivia wiz on Fridays at 5p for
Reverse Trivia where I am the trivia czar with expertise on CaddyShack,
Blues Brothers and The Godfather.
Graduated from Largo HS in 1977 and USF in
1982. During HS I hung around 570 AM at the time WFSO as a rock
stalker and prize pig which apparently was foreshadowing for my
future career start at WPLP.
