Where Are They Now?

Larry Blucher

Larry worked at WFLA in the early to mid 90's for three years, during which time he is probably best remem-bered for co-hosting the Tampa Bay Buccaneers Pre-Game Show with Lee Roy Selmon, for his award-winning series of stories on Spring Training entitled "Blucher From the Bleachers."

Larry is still doing baseball play-by-play. He is in Mass-achusetts again this summer serving as the radio voice of the Brockton Rox of the Northeast League for a third consecutive season. In 2002, his radio call of Biff Henderson (David Letterman's stage manager) getting an at-bat during a professional game was heard nationally on "Late Night." He was voted top broadcaster in the league by Passionbaseball.com and got to call a championship-clinching game as the Rox won it all. While broadcasting a game in the Coastal Plains League for the Wilson Tobs in 2001, he made headlines for broadcasting a baseball game from a bathroom (in Petersburg!).

He still considers Tampa the best city in which he has worked and wishes he could see his friend Tedd Webb more often.
