Les
Howard One of the smoothest voices ever to be heard
on Tampa Bay radio, les Howard was a mainstay during the 1980s.
WOJC, WFLZ, and WSUN. Les was truly a barnburner ratings getter
in his time slot, usually the mid day slot. Les Howard was born to do radio, his voice
would not have allowed him any other opportunity. His best days
were at WFLZ, he teamed up with other great voices like RJ Reynolds,
Frank Ferrari, and Mark Larsen to form a power packed lineup.
Les Howard disappeared from the scene in
the early 90's, but we have now located him at WKTK in Gainsville.
Les says "I programmed market-leading WEAT (Sunny 104.3), West
Palm Beach from 1991-2001, picking up Billboard's
AC "PD of the Year" honors in 2000. I'm programming
KTK and will be moving to pm drive, effective January 13th.
Our positioning statement has been changed to: The Best Variety
of the 70's, 80's, 90's and Today.
