Lolita

She was the “all night delight” at WLCY in the mid 1960’s, the el Paso Texas native was rocking them wild. Young boys with stars in their eyes would call her request line just to hear her sultry sounds.

“Lolita” is actually Dottie Unwin. This lady also worked at WFSO using the name Jackie Lea back in 1972. Her career includes stops in KEPO, El Paso WKLO, Louisville, Ky, WELA In Elizabeth NJ, and a host of other stops she said were not worth remembering.

Dottie is married 22 years to a die hard British soccer fan and in the early 70's quit radio to enter the medical field.

Today she works as a respiratory therapist, specializing in pulmonary rehab. She spends her spare time and spare money on her 36 ft. sail boat.

Her favorite times in radio were spent at WLCY working with some great guys, and the time spent at WFSO with Tedd Webb.

Says Dottie “What better way to your day than Teddy’s mind and voice, and I can still listen in the morning and find out what he is up to!”
