Mike
Waller
Mike started at WFLA as a Part time board
op in 1998 ( my first live show I did was with Tedd and Jack
on a Saturday in Oct or Nov??? and Prez Clinton was getting impeached).
Mike became full time over night board op / Capt Mel's producer
in 1999. He moved back to NY in late 2000 and was out of radio
for a while, but was editing audio Books for Big Media Productions
in NYC 2000 - 2001 and also was doing production at Onomat-opoeia,
Inc. of NYC in 2001 were he was editing an interactive audio
program for a children's phonic CD-Rom. Also in 2001 Mike was
a freelance board op for www.mlbradio.com <www.mlbradio.com> in
NYC, though it was only for 5 games.
It was not until 2002 that Mike got back into
radio. He was hired by WQCD CD101.9 NYC as a Sat Overnight board
op. Mike was there until I was hired by 540 WLIE on Long Island
for a afternoon producer/Board op. That ended quickly because
the host and I did not get along at all, but at WLIE I met a
connection to get a board op position at 710 WOR in NYC. He was
a p/t board op since Nov 2002 and late Jan 2003 he was promoted
to the Production Coordinator.
