Where Are They Now?

Shawn Pyfrom

Hailing from Tampa, Shawn Pyfrom, has been acting ever since he can remember. Starting with tons of commercials in Florida, he eventually booked Disney's "Sing Me A Story" as a little tyke and started on his rising climb to success.  In the last several years, he has booked countless National commercials and voiceover campaigns, starred in several Television Movies, and begun a promising film career. Most recently, he is staring in "8 Simple Rules", "Still Standing" and now going to be in the new ABC series "Desperate Housewives." He will be playing Andrew Van De Kamp as Marcia Cross's son. Last year he starred as Wendy Malick's son in the pilot: "My Life With Men". He worked in the Disney movie, "Max Keeble Great Adventure" and supported Helen Hunt, Kevin Spacey and Haley Joel Osment in "Pay It Forward" while almost synonymously shooting the Canadian feature, "A Day In The Life" an endearing comedy which tells the story of five lovable and feisty seniors. Shawn is also pleased to share in the talented casts of two animated series: "The Kids from Room 402" and "Stanley."

An exceptionally versatile young actor, Shawn has appeared in an episode of "Seventh Heaven" as a child with Tourette's Syndrome, the Emmy-nominated episode of "Touched By An Angel" as a young Jewish boy (opposite Kirk Douglas) and the ABC Movie of the Week, "Come On Get Happy" about the Partridge Family series (portraying the affable and very red-headed lead character Danny Bonaduce.)  Shawn is extremely proud of his nomination for Hollywood Reporters' Young Star Award for Best Actor for this particular role. He has also appeared in the Disney movie called "H-E Double Hockey Sticks" and the tribute to Michael Landon in "Michael Landon: the Father I Knew". He has also been seen on such popular shows as: "Century City", "Oliver Beene",  "Reba",  "Malcolm in the Middle",  "Drew Carey", "Buffy the Vampire Slayer",  "The Division",  "State of Grace", and internationally as a recurring lead on the Canadian hit "My Hometown."

Spending most of the year in Los Angeles, Shawn and his sister Amber travel around with Mom, Gail.  Shawn has met and worked with so many wonderful people who have become good friends, that it's hard to go "home" to Florida, though he does miss his Dad who stays in Tampa year round and older brother Chris, who is away at college at LSU. When not working, Shawn enjoys listening to music, hanging out with friends, and going to the movies. Besides a promising artist, Shawn is also an avid reader and a great student.
