Steve
The Big Dog Duemig
Born in Penasacola, FL... Raised in the great
sports town of Philadelphia, where he acquired his passion for
sports. Steve was a 4 letter athlete in high School, playing varsity
Soccer, Baseball, Basketball, and Golf. Went on to play soccer
for one semester at Loch Haven State College, then on to Bucks
County Community College. Played on the basketball team that won
the league championship and also the golf team that also won the
state championship.
Went on to start a career in golf as a professional
that lasted over a span of 13 years. Was a member of the PGA of
America.
Steve is one of the
pioneers of sports Talk radio. He joined the staff of Sportsradio
910 WFNS in 1991. At the time WFNS was only the 5th all sports
radio station in the country.
Joined the staff of 620 WDAE in 1996 and has
anchored the afternoon drive slot since the station went to the
all-sports format, where he still resides.
Career Highlights:
- Served as Color
analyst for Tampa Bay Lightning broadcasts for two seasons,
including their playoff season of 1996
- Achieved overall number one rating for time
slot, and has consistently been among the top 5 in target demographics.
- Voted best sports talk host in Tampa by
City Search in 2001.
