Where Are They Now?

Tim Farley

Since this bio is for Tedd Webb’s site, surely decorum is unnecessary and scatological humor welcome.   That said, I’ll not stray from the facts:

I was at WFLA from 1981 thru 1986.  Two weeks after I started there, my son, Sean, was born.  In 2003, he marched (as part of the USMC contingent) into Baghdad. He’s out of the Corps now.

I went from WFLA to WRVA in Richmond… good time, good experiences, good people.  I got fired, but hey, it’s radio.

I joined XM Satellite Radio in 2001 (before it went on the air) as PD of the NASCAR Radio channel.  Which is exactly what I went to college for. (Sorta)

My title is now Senior Director News/Talk/Sports programming at XM.

I remarried 5 years ago, and Dianne and I live in the god-awful state of Maryland (I’m sure King Charles thought it was worth the stop, but I would’ve kept going).  Its single saving grace is that it is NOT Washington, DC, where the people are unfriendly, the climate is inhospitable, the traffic congestion ubiquitous, and the cost of living steep.  Thank God the drugs and hookers are cheap.

Really, XM is amazing… technology, people, challenges, all top-drawer.

And, since Scott Walterman also works here, I have a newfound appreciation for the miracle that is Tedd Webb’s surviving lo these many years.
