In addition to a sound background in
news, Sharon has some of the best pipes in the business, and is
an outstanding member of the cast of thousands that gets up in the
middle of the night to bring you A.M. Tampa Bay on 970 WFLA.
Sharon got her start in radio when she was
singing in a band and a friend said, "they're looking for
a girl to do news" at the local college radio station. She's
been at it ever since. Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a degree
in Mass Communications from the University of South Florida, she
has worked in both radio and television, as a radio news anchor/producer,
traffic reporter, talk show co-host and television assignment
editor. She has also worked as a video producer and interviewed
many well-known actors and film directors in Los Angeles and New
York.
Sharon is an avid animal lover, shares her
home with a Shih Tzu named Opie Taylor, a couple of cool cats
and has been with 970 WFLA since August of 1998.
