Dave
Cash
After 3 years at Hartford's #1 AC station,
Dave left his afternoon drive gig and headed south for sunny Florida.
Once in Tampa Bay, he started some behind the scenes work at Independent
Broadcasters Network. When a weekend gig at Warm 94.9 was presented
to him, he accepted and soon after was pulling double duty at
Coast 107.3, America's 1st all 70's station, as soon as they joined
the airwaves. He did overnights then as Alec Davis. During his
stint at Cox Radio, he also did some talk show producing for 620AM
WSUN.
Dave left and went to New Wave Communications'
1079 YNF. Next stop in Tampa Bay was Clear Channel's Mix 96. He
stayed there through the format switch to Star 95.7 and did occasional
"Cashman Commentaries" on the Carmen & Chris Morning
show.
There was a brief lapse of sensibility as he
did a bit of on-air work at Jammin Oldies JO 101.5 but quickly
moved on to Clear Channel Orlando. The commute finally got to
him so he decided to rejoin the Tampa Bay airwaves. The return
started at 102.5 The Point but then was moved to The Coast's format
replacement 107.3 The Bay.
Whew! He thought that was the end of radio
for him and took a job outside for about a year. Missing it way
too much, he decided to return once again to radio and this time
to Rock the Bay at Thunder 103.5. Dave can also be heard occasionally
doing traffic reports on Thunder's AM sister station Newsradio
970 WFLA.
Besides doing what he loves (being on the air),
Dave also designs websites in his free time, if you want to call
it free. Stop by and check out his websites at:
