Mark Wheeler

Mark was the midday jock at WLCY radio through-out the 60s and early 70s. He started out in Lakeland at WONN before coming to the station on Gandy Blvd. Mark also worked at WINQ radio in 1960.

Known for huge ratings throughout his career, and for a super voice that enabled him to do plenty of production work on the side. He started Wheeler Productions in St Petersburg -- the business is still being run by their two children, Tanya and Vince.

Mark Wheeler passed away doing one of his favorite things... working in the yard -- from a heart attack on October 26th, 2001.
