Tim Davisson

Tim was part of the Bill Garcia Mafia that took over Tampa Bay shortly after arriving here in December 1973. Tim was one hell of a DJ, energetic, tight, and always had the right line at the right time. He enjoyed being on the air, and you could tell. He and his gang guided WRBQ Q105 to dynamic numbers & a number one rating in the ARBITRON Ratings.

Tim says "I returned home to Akron from Q105 in August of 1977... worked as a jock in Akron and Cleveland til April of 1980... and got into sales for a 2-year technical jr. college over the summer of 1980, then radio sales in mid-1983. I've been with WAKR & WONE-FM ( AM: news/standards/evening pro sports play-by-play; FM: classic rock/AoR ) since November 1987. I'm age 53, married, have an adult step-daughter and grandson. My wife and I live on 4 beautiful acres of property in a semi-rural area about 15 miles from Akron. We have 7 cats!"

"At the risk of sounding too old......... I realize time marches on, but I sure miss the way radio used to be (music radio stations). They're so boring these days. Heck , talk radio is about the only place there's any real personality on radio these days."
