For a moment I thought I was experiencing 911 again this past Saturday when a 15 year old misguided boy drove his Cesna into a bank building in downtown Tampa. The cops say no terrorist connection. I say he was a terrorist.

Anyone who would risk the lives of others by flying into a public building, is a terrorist. It just so happens Charles Bishop had a note in his pocket claiming allegiance and sympathy for Usama bin Laden. It just happens Charles Bishop was really Charles Bashara, part Syrian. His Mom changed the name from Bishop to Bashara in 1992.

Could that fact come into play? Does it matter that he is part Middle Eastern? Did that influence his infatuation with bin Laden? If it does, we can understand how so many Middle Eastern men between the ages of 18-35 follow blindly, laying their lives down for the maniac.

What is scary is MacDill Air Force Base air space, the home of Central Command, was violated. For a 60 second period, Bishop, or Bashara, was flying over the command post of the war in Afghanistan. Scary is an understatement.

Had Bishop, or Bashara had explosives on that plane, and no one knew if he did or not, he could have caused major damage to the base, or the bank building. We need to be more aggressive in dealing with potential threats, no matter what their age.

That's how I see it!
