A.M. Tampa Bay (Monday -
Friday: 5am-9am) First let me state, I think Enron officials should go to jail. I am saying that before the trial, heck even before indictments. What Enron has done to its employees is sinful, not just criminal. With that said, let me bring up media bias one more time. How many stories have broken on Enron? There were 5000 plus last week alone according to a search conducted. The big angle is connect President Bushs family and administration to Enron. One extremely biased headline read, No connection to Florida Governor Jeb Bush --- yet"!!!? I guess that means the newspaper is trying its damnest to make a connection. Here's some help for those of you liberal Democrats in Congress and the media, who are so interested in knowing how many times the Dick Cheney energy task force met with Enron. First of all, if you're looking for a quid pro quo situation with Enron, look at the Clinton years, not who met or didn't meet with Dick Cheney. The Bush administration let Enron go bankrupt. Enron thrived during the Clinton years. We did not read any stories on Enron and the cozy relationship it enjoyed with Bill Clinton and his staff. If it weren't for this piece today, you probably would not know there was such a cozy relationship. Enron executives are dirt bags, period. They made equal political contributions to Republicans and Democrats. Check Senator Joe Lieberman's financial ties to Enron, and then remember last years Democratic co-standard bearer, is the one leading the Senate hearings into their collapse. It looks like the coyote is guarding the henhouse. That's how I see it! |
