Terrorism expert Steven Emerson warned the terror cell operating out of Tampa, Florida was the largest outside of Syria. People laughed. In 1995 during a raid on USF Professor Sami Al Arian's house, the FBI found a 35 page document written in Arabic, it was "classified" until 2000, when the government produced used it as impeaching evidence against Al Arian, called as a character witness for his brother in law, Mazen Al Najjar. Al Najjar had been jailed for 3 years for terrorist activities, but the FBI did not want to compromise intelligence gathering by revealing sources nor evidence.

Al Arian and Al Najjar were members of WISE, World Islamic Studies Enterprise, an Islamic "think thank" at the University of South Florida. From that group emerged Ramadan Abdullah Shallah, the current leader of Islamic Jihad. He left the university in October 1995 to take over the reigns of the terror group.

This gives you the idea Al Arian and Al Najjar were connected to some very unsavory characters. The FBI claims it has more evidence of the involvement of the two with the terrorist organization, which kills women and children.

This document is a handbook on how to set up terror cells in America. Former FBI Assistant Special Agent In Charge of the Tampa office, Oscar Westerfield called the document a "Mein Kampf" of terrorist as it details establishment of intelligence gathering, a military wing, and training of members in weapons use. It talks of Jews and Christians as being the threat to Islam. It sounds like a transcript of one of those bin Laden videos we all have seen since 911.

University President Judy Genshaft is right in terminating Al Arian. We should open our eyes and understand what lives and breathes among us. This element is a clear and present danger, a threat to our freedom, our very existence!

That's how I see it!
