The wacky anti war protestor of the 1970’s
Daniel Ellsberg is out pimping a new book, he covers the Pentagon
Papers theft and release to the media. Daniel feels this act was
courageous, and was very patriotic. I disagreed.
I feel Daniel Ellsberg was a traitor, I told
him so. I also stated had I been President of the United States
at the time, I would have pushed for his execution.
Ellsberg did jail time for his action, but
it was token duty. He should have been hammered. His action was
seditious. Ellsberg gave aid and comfort to the enemy. The releasing
of those papers gave the North Vietnamese plenty of PR power in
America, who turned Ellsberg into a cult hero.
When you release classified documents, you
violate an oath you took when you got your security clearance.
When you release classified documents, you violate the law, a
felony. In time of war, you would be punished by death. The Viet
Nam action was a war, undeclared as it may have been, it was a
war which took close to 50,000 American lives. I wonder how many
of those American lives were the direct result of Daniel Ellsberg’s
actions?
Daniel symbolizes that faction of society that
blames America for everything. They blame Capitalism for the plight
of 3rd world nations, for hunger in this country, for the terrorist
actions on 9/11, oh yeah that too, we were attacked because it
was our fault, our wrong Middle Eastern policy.
I want to puke when I see Daniel Ellsberg make
one red cent off his attempt at capitalism.
That's
how I see it!
