The hit, everyone has seen it 1000 times thanks to ESPN and CNN and FOX and others. The NFL will not fine Warren Sapp for the devastating blow to Green Bay Packer offensive tackle Chad Clifton. It was not a clip, it was not helmet to helmet, it was not a chop block. It was just plain unnecessary.

Chad Clifton is in a Tampa hospital with bleeding ligaments in his hip and groin. Clifton lay motionless as Sapp celebrated. Just keep telling yourself, it was legal.

NFL players have a short career, why make it shorter by taking a man out who is doing what you are trying to do, support his family? Warren Sapp did not have to ‘unload’ on Clifton, who was about 30 yards away from the interception return. Sapp had a chance to spring another returner for a touchdown late in the game, instead he opted to run by his buddy Brett Favre, and Favre responded by making the TD saving tackle.

It was really shameful, the post game confrontation. Packers Head Coach Mike Sherman should have not instigated the confrontation, but Warren Sapp had no business trying to end a fellow players career. The victory dance over his fallen prey was a bit distasteful, a display of a lack of class.

That's how I see it!
