The 108th Congress convened, the President
has a new plan on the floor to lift the economy and to ease the
tax burden on
America. Immediately the Democrats go into ‘class warfare
mode’. “This will benefit the rich, this is targeted
to the 1% who make the most.” Can I ask a question? If
a person kicks in 25 million dollars in taxes, is he or she
not entitled to a bigger refund than someone who makes $35,000
a year?
Well the national news media was echoing the
Democratic National Committees talking points. Last night Peter
Jennings had an economic
reporter compare the savings for a couple who earned $35,000
a year, they had 2 children, and a couple earning $70,000 per
year with one child. The couple earning $35,000 would get back
$1400, while the couple with one child $1300. The lady with one
child said the refund would not be enough to go out and spend,
so she was going to put it in savings.
The reporter then tells Jennings “ So you see Peter, this
will not jump start the economy, it’s not enough for the
little people”. If you get $1300 back from the government
and you can afford to stash it in savings, then my dear you are
not that bad off. If you were that bad off, you would spend it
on a NEED for the children, or to pay a bill.
Brace yourself, this class warfare scenario
is nothing new, the Democrats knew the lyrics by heart. Let’s sing along. “ It’s
going to put old people out on the street”, “they
are going to starve the children”, did I forget anything?
Same as it was, same as it was, same as it
ever was!
That's
how I see it!
