Amazing how people from other countries find the United States a haven to make big bucks, lots of moolah, but in the same breath criticize her to no end.

Case in point, Ashleigh Banfield from the far from fledging MSNBC. Ashleigh was the guest speaker at the Kansas State University last week, and took the opportunity to unload mercilessly on American television news coverage.

“They didn’t show the Marines firing their M16s and the damage they caused” she whined. Ashleigh felt especially irritated by the “gung ho” attitude of certain news networks displaying the flag during their newscasts. She was offended by that display of patriotism by journalists. I guess Banfield was referring to the Fox News Network, the only fair and balanced TV news network in the world.

Banfield complained she wasn’t allowed to present the concerns of Hamas and the Palestinians, and their beef with Israel. This Canadian sensation was called a slut on the air by MSNBC’s Michael Savage. Banfield claims Savage called her that because she “dared to speak to martyrs who were prepared to sacrifice themselves.” Notice the terminology, martyrs? Must be something in the water in Canada, ever notice how Peter Jennings at ABC is the same way? Poor Peter has not smiled since we kicked Saddam’s backside. Peter took it personal.

Not to single out Canada, we should mention New Zealand native Peter Arnett. Peter is now synonymous with the phrase ‘Yellow Journalism’ for his pro-Iraqi reporting of the First Gulf War, his falsified ‘Agent Orange’ story which provoked his dismissal from CNN and the overtly anti-American interview he recently gave to the Iraqis.

Advice for Ashleigh, Peter and Peter; if you don’t like it here, get out. And in the words of the Late Lewis Grizzard, ‘Delta is Ready When You Are…’

That's how I see it!
