From the pages of the NT Times, Laurie Tarkan writes “A woman lay unconscious and dying at Suburban Hospital in Bethesda, Md. But the hospital would not tell her friends and relatives what room she was in.”

You know what this is all about? The new privacy laws that went into effect. The lawyers and special interest groups who don’t want any medical information released, did not count of unexpected consequences.

Have you been to the doctor’s office lately? Be prepared, it will be a longer visit than before, all because of the paper work involved, per federal regulations concerning the privacy of your medical records and other information

The federal paper trail is incredible, and the reasoning behind it wreaks of paranoia. Did you ever think you would see this country brought to a halt by threats of lawsuits? It just about has come to a screeching halt because some folks don’t want their medical records out.

As a diabetic with a heart problem, I could care less who finds out. There, does that give me a pass on filling out any more paper work on my next visit? It should.

That's how I see it!
