Those that cry out for a quick retreat
from Iraq, did not want us in there in the first place. I am hearing
the remarkable comparisons to Viet Nam, nonsense. Viet Nam would
not have been a problem had the generals been calling the plays
instead of the politicians.
Iraq and Afghanistan are but battles in a long
war, the enemy is terrorism. If you run now, you have lost the
war, not this battle. You will be running forever, the enemy wants
us dead. Do you understand that? They don’t want to live
in peace and harmony with you, they want us dead!
This country does not run, we should not be
playing defense against this monster. Radical Islam must be confronted,
it must be destroyed. The only understanding the terrorist have
is force, strong force. We must hunt them down and do dastardly
things to them, things we would not have considered doing to an
enemy before.
We need to dig down and find the resolve.
This is not going to be a short battle, the
enemy is determined. This war may last beyond 20 years or more.
We must be prepared and hell bent for leather.
To quote a famous person, “failure is
not an option”.
