The Brits are on the verge of doing something
that should concern you. The government has informed educators
there will be a change in the grading system. No longer will there
be an “F” on a report card indicating failure. The “F”
grade will be replaced by an “N” for “Nearly”.
It sounds better to say I nearly passed.
There is another change, no longer will there
be a “correct” or an “incorrect” answer in
math. In the new grading system the Brits will give a “credit
worthy” answer or a “not credit worthy answer.”
We can’t be judgmental, even in mathematics.
I guess no one wants to hurt a child’s
self esteem. Garbage! There are some who can hit a ball farther
than others, there are some who can run faster than others, there
are some who are fatter than others, there are some who are better
looking than others, and yes there are some who are smarter than
others!
We are not all the same, and should not be
treated as intellectual equals. Reward those that produce, and
assist those that need help, but no more false self esteem. Self
esteem is earned, NOT given.
Look in the mirror and ask yourself, “Am
I tired of this politically correct crap?” How much more
should you take? Do something about it!!! The dumbing down of
our society will have great consequences for everyone. We are
starting to realize them already.
