It really doesn’t matter if you love baseball or you are a casual fan, some one who watches mainly in the post season. The Cubs are making this post season fun. Chicago has not been to the world Series since 1945, and they have not won it since the early 1900s.

Many have been pulling for a Boston Red Sox -- Cubs World Series. That is not going to happen. The sox are still under the “Curse of The Bambino”, the price they have paid for selling Babe Ruth to the Yankees. The Bosox may never ever win a World Series.

Baseball needs the Cubs in the main event, it will wash away some of the embarrassment of the Pedro Martinez -- Don Zimmer fight from Saturday night. Baseball is NOT hockey, fans do not come base-brawl, they want to see a game.

If the Yankees manage to beat the Red Sox in game 6 of the American League Championship series later today, the Bronx Bombers will not be the fans favorites if the Cubbies make it. America always pulls for the underdog, and there is no bigger dog than the Cubs, except for maybe the Red sox.

That's how I see it!
