Hollywood is at it again. In 1996 they came out with a movie depicting an evil Republican Senator from Kansas, he was horrible. Funny that same year Republican Senator Bob Dole from Kansas ran for President.

When Clinton’s puppet Al Gore ran in 2000, Hollywood came out with another movie depicting Republicans in the worst light, one of it’s co-stars Gary Oldham refused to go on promotional tours for the movie, he called the flick a piece of propaganda.

Now we are in another election cycle, and CBS comes out with a tele-movie on the life of Ronald Reagan. CBS head Les Moonves, a staunch Democratic supporter, says he wanted to keep to the record as close as possible, it was his duty to tell the truth and to present a very fair point of view. He fell short.

The movie does not tell of Regan bringing the country back from the economic malaise Jimmy Carter, a one termer, had gotten us in. Nancy Reagan is portrayed as a pill popping control freak, who relies on her astrologer’s advice and uses it to influence White House decisions.

In the film Nancy tries to talk Ronald into getting more money for AIDS research, and he replies “they that live in sin, shall die in sin”. There is no record of him ever saying it. Add insult to injury, James Brolin, Barbara Streisend’s lap dog stars as the former President.

Could this be Hollywood trying to influence an election again?

That's how I see it!
