If you refer to Iraq as a “quagmire”, or “another Viet Nam”, then you my friend either smoked way too much dope in the 60s & 70s or you were not around for the 60s and the 70s.

A bad day in Iraq, 16 GIs killed, was a good day in the Nam where often times casualties ran into the hundreds, and many planes were lost, and crews killed or captured. Before you start chanting the mantra of the day from your leftist leaders, know what you are saying is fact.

If you have a plan for Iraq, let’s hear it, if not, then shut your damn mouth before you get more GIs killed. Yeah, before YOU get more GIs killed. Your behavior, your rhetoric gives aid and comfort to an enemy than thinks we are going to pull up anchor and run. The Islamist feel that if enough GIs die in this guerrilla action, the public opinion will force the US out of the Middle East. Remember Somalia, I guess Clinton felt it was another Viet Nam, another quagmire and he ran. What did running get us? 9-11.

We are there for the duration, this was NOT the “War of Iraq”, this was the “Battle of Iraq.” This is like a good ole fashioned wrestling match from the 70s, no time limit, no disqualification. If you don’t know the rules, you could get hurt.

That's how I see it!
