You know I am as Pro Life as they come, so this
may shock you.
Senate hopeful Bill McCollum was on our radio program last week
and made great sense. The Republicans must approve “Stem
Cell Research”. I am not talking about aborted fetuses;
I am talking about the many fertilized eggs used for invitro
fertilization, which are destroyed every year. This is NOT abortion;
we would not be killing anyone, merely giving life to those in
need of cures.
What is wrong with using these eggs to find a cure for cancer, diabetes, MS,
and a zillion other maladies which claim lives every day?
Here is a shocker for you, 70% of Republican “Right To Lifers” are
for it, and they approve of this procedure. I saw the poll numbers.
The GOP must wake up and quit being led around by the nose by a very small percentage
of special interest folks, whose heart is in the right place, but are inflexible
and may cost the party dearly in November.
I am “Pro Life”, but I am also for “Stem Cell Research” from
fertilized eggs. If the Conservatives don’t see the light on this one,
they may be out of power soon.
