In all of my years observing politics, I have never seen such
blatant attempts by the media to sway an election.
We have seen CBS caught red handed twice. First, the Dan Rather
60 Minutes segment with Lt Colonel Bill Burkett, the forged National
Guard papers and memos.
And now we learn CBS was going to drop an October surprise Sunday,
right before election night, and drum up an old story from April
of 2003, that would cast a bad light on our military and the
President. You know the story of the missing explosives
in Iraq. However the NY Times beat them to the punch with an “exclusive” on
Monday. The substance of both reports is garbage. Their goal
was the same, bring down the President.
ABC’s Political Director Marc Halperin wasn’t taking
any chances in early October when he told his staff that while
both campaigns were bending the truth, Kerry’s bending
of the facts shouldn’t be hit as hard.
ABC’s Peter Jennings sealed it when he said, and I quote; "I'm
a little concerned about this notion everybody wants us to be
objective." And well you should be Peter, the network’s
gravy train is off the tracks, no one believes you guys anymore.
That’s How I See It!
