Mark Brown is not a conservative, this writer for the Chicago Sun Times is an admitted Liberal, but Mark Brown is asking the unthinkable; “What if Bush has been right about Iraq all along?”
Many are asking that question, not just American Liberals, but politicians all over the world who opposed the action in Iraq, and had predicted doom as the elections approached.
History will be the true judge, but as we speak, we have to admit, even if you didn’t vote for W, his policy in Iraq worked. When you saw the faces of the people, chanting, dancing, crying, celebrating their new found freedom to choose, you have to admit to yourself, it was definitely worth it.
The Iraqis faced the threats of snipers, suicide bombers, and more, and still showed enough guts to go to the polls in large numbers, larger turnouts than we see in this country,
I think they are showing the terrorists they fear nothing and are willing to die for freedom.
The only people not thrilled with what happened this weekend in Iraq are Ted Kennedy, and Saddam himself.
Kennedy was in a hurry to leave Iraq, seems he is always in a hurry to leave hot spots, didn’t he run from Chappaquiddick 36 years ago.
