Yesterday, after interviewing the President of the Michael Jackson fan club, I realized PT Barnum was right, there is a sucker born every minute. This grandmother said she would have no trouble with her grand children staying at Michael Jackson’s house for a sleep over. She was serious and said she would do so, because she “knew Michael”.
Am I going nuts, is anyone else out there feel that another bad verdict came from California? They laugh at Florida because of the 2000 elections, what about California? OJ Simpson, Robert Blake and now Michael’s “moon walk”.
Those people celebrating wildly in the streets right after the verdict was read, were amazing, What planet they live on is not certain. I bet some were the same people celebrating when OJ walked. What is it about celebrities and crime, and why juries fail to find them guilty?
I am confused today, as I felt Jackson would be found guilty on at least the charge of providing alcohol to minors. The jury did not see fit to convict.
I have heard all the comments from the jurors. The one about the Mom snapping her fingers at the jury was amusing. One grandmother felt snubbed by the gesture and voted to acquit just on that.
It looks like the defense did a great job of putting the mother on trial, instead of the accused pedophile.
