This has not been the most pleasant of times for me, at least not materially.
8 flat tires since January, all on the cross town expressway caused by construction debris. And now little things are starting to irritate me, like 411.
Simple, call four - one - one and the operator would ask “what city & state please?”
You would say “Tampa, Florida.” In seconds came the response “Here’s Your Number”. Nowadays we get the automated operators who then come back with “I’m sorry we did not understand”. Why don’t you understand? BECAUSE YOU ARE A MACHINE!!! After repeating it twice, I finally got a live body who understood it the very first time. But she cost money, plus benefits.
Service is at an all time low in America. When was the last time they got your order right at a drive through? Think about it, something was wrong. Either they did not hold the onions, or they added pickles, WHICH YOU DID NOT WANT!!!!!!
Service should have a museum some where. Where we could stop by and see how courteous and helpful attendants were. A time when they would top your fluids while they filled your gas tank. Real people, not THESE DAMN MACHINES!!!!

Progress, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder!
