Dan Rather was bounced out at CBS for running with a story, whose facts were based on a forged memo. Everyone by now agrees Rather had to go, everyone but Dan himself.
Interview by Marvin Kalb on C-SPAN, Rather sticks to his guns and says the facts are accurate on President Bush’s National Guard records. Rather still believes he was not treated fairly by his bosses at CBS, and he should have stuck to his guns.
Now we understand the mentality of the mainstream media news editors. Rather was the last to run with the Monica Lewinsky story.
Rather was the last to declare an election victory for George W Bush in 2004
But Rather is the first to run with a story detrimental to Bush, even when facts show that the memos used to authenticate the story, were forged.
The only consistency in Dan Rather is that he is a shill for liberals, and an attack dog on conservatives. Always has been, and always will be.
Dan is but the tip of the iceberg, we could go on all day about mainstream media, but it would be like beating a dead horse. Its better to ignore them, now that their time has passed, and no one takes them serious anymore.
