Mary McCarthy, Clinton appointee, John Kerry supporter, and CIA spy. What could possibly go wrong?
There have been a series of leaks at the agency for years, and it appears those leaking were political hacks, and NOT spies. Mary McCarthy did not agree with the policy of having war detainees sent to other countries where their method of persuasion is a little harsher than what the law allows the CIA to deploy. Mary McCarthy not only took quite a tool we had for getting info from the detainees, but embarrassed and put at risk the countries that cooperated with the war on terror by allowing us such luxury.
Why did Mary McCarthy leak the info as alleged? Political reasons. No other possible, plausible explanation. She put her Democratic Party above the best interests of the country.
What should happen to Mary McCarthy if indeed she is proven to be the leaker of such sensitive info to a reporter?
I say Mary pay the ultimate price. She is no different that Ethel and Julius Rosenberg, who in the 50s gave the Ruskies the secret to the A bomb.
If indeed Mary McCarthy gave a reporter the sensitive info on CIA prisons overseas, she is no better than those who created the cold war by their political treason.
Mary McCarthy is no friend of this country. Many would flat out call her a traitor.
