How to ruin your career in minutes for dummies. That would be a great book for the Dixie Chicks to write. They have instant credibility.

For years, the Dixie Chicks made their fame and fortune off the backs of Country Music and Blue Grass fans. Those two groups have a high standard of patriotism. I can not think of a more loyal defender of America and its way of life.

The Dixie Chicks desecrated that relationship.

In a recent interview Emily stated how upset she was with Country Music performers. "A lot of artists cashed in on being against what we said or what we stood for because that was promoting their career, which was a horrible thing to do. "A lot of pandering started going on, and you'd see soldiers and the American flag in every video. It became a sickening display of ultra-patriotism." "The entire country may disagree with me, but I don't understand the necessity for patriotism."

Not to be outdone, lead singer Natalie Maines chips in "Why do you have to be a patriot? About what? This land is our land? Why? You can like where you live and like your life, but as for loving the whole country… I don't see why people care about patriotism."

Girls if it weren’t for patriotism, you would not have the right to express yourself in the way you did. Thank the soldiers who you despise, for they gave you that right, and are protecting it today.

That’s how I see it!

    Praise God (Laus Deo),
