Critics of the current administration come from both sides of the isle. President Bush is not Conservative enough is the cry from the right, President Bush is not a compassionate conservative comes the cry from the left.
If it were that simple, we could get by with no problem. Problem is the political rhetoric in this country is out of whack. It is no longer issues debated, it goes beyond the pale. It cuts deep, and I think it cuts dangerously into our security.
The one ups man ship is many times a threat to national security. The leftist newspapers release classified information which harms our troops, and our war effort. Conservative politicians also harm in their criticisms of the way we are fighting this war on terror.
The nation is in need of some statesmen who can debate an issue without tearing the very fiber of this nation. There are 2 sides to every issue, always has been. The key is be able to discuss our differences. Right now in this country there is a rabid anger that prevails, an anger that was flamed by politicians trying to excite their respective bases. Its not a national election anymore, it’s a pit bull fight.
In a pit bull fight, there are no real winners, only sore losers.
