You know they say music sucks today, I hear all the ole timers chiming in about RAP is CRAP, you know the story, you’ve heard it before.

Let me quote some lyrics from back in the 50s and see how you think these gems compare.

The Diamonds Little Darlin

Oh, little darlin'
Oh, little darlin
Oh-oh-oh where ar-are you
My love-a
I was wrong-a
To-oo try
To lo-ove two
A-hoopa, a-hoopa, hoopa
Kno-ow well-a
That my love-a
Wa-as just fo-or you
Ooooonly yoooooooooooou

You from the 60s, don’t laugh, remember Macarthur’s Park?

MacArthur's Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!

Even the 70’s can be ashamed, remember The Stylistics?

And betcha by golly, wow
You're the one that I've been waiting for forever
And ever will my love for you keep growin' strong
Keep growin' strong

Even the 90s can bow their heads when they hear Jane Child

I don't wanna fall in love, no no
Love cuts just like a knife, woo woo
You make the knife feel good baby
I'll fight you to the end

Let us become more understanding of the ruling generation’s musical tastes. Remember people in glass houses shouldn’t throw stones.

That’s how I see it!
