Britney in rehab, Britney cuts her hair, Anna Nicole slept around. Seems like that is all America wants to hear right now. Oh in a week or so, it will be who is going to win America Idol.
Meanwhile, a world away our soldiers are dealing with a very difficult situation, Iraq. It’s not an easy assignment, it has a high degree of danger and volatility. What makes their job even harder, is when politicians put their own careers above the safety of the troops, and the security of America. That is what is happening at the present.
Some one tell John Murtha to shut up. This ex Marine is not welcomed in Marine circles. Jar Heads are traditionally patriotic, not this one. He wants to cut and run and he wants to do it now. He has personally blasted the GIs in theatre, and has leveled some major league bombs on the Commander in Chief.
Murtha is not alone, Democrats and Republicans are jumping on the anti Bush bandwagon, not realizing it’s not Bush they are hurting, he is not seeking another term. It’s the soldiers they are abandoning. It’s the country that will suffer on the long run.
To quote General Tommy Franks, “ if we leave Iraq prematurely, the terrorist will follow us home”. General Tommy speaks the absolute truth.
